The former location of Mechanicsville Tunnel has been a source of trouble in times past. This particular Saturday, was no different. A few hours later, all debris were removed from the track and OHIC continued it's northward journey... As you can tell by the rust on the rail, trips to/from Bergholz are few and sometimes far between. |

After the tree clearing, Northbound OHIC 101 finally enters Minerva Yard. The head out car was picked up at Watheys. You may notice the sign by the SOU boxcar that reads "BEGIN ORDC" - all track south of MP 43.5 is owned by the Ohio Rail Development Commission. North of here it is owned by LWR, Inc. and the other sign reads "BEGIN LWR". Their relationship to Ohi-Rail is somewhat of a mystery to me, but they don't rip stuff out, so I don't care! |
