Description:  About 30 minutes later, the OE Hauler glides thought Front Street. It wasn't a very smooth glide, as the air was dumped as the lead engine went past and I ended up giving the conductor (who is an absolute pleasure to work with) a ride from the end of the train to the head end.

Description:  In the same exact spot I saw them 2 months ago, just in a slightly different configuration, POTB 3771 and 4368 sit at Buxton in work train duty. Update... The 4368 is inoperable. It needs new wheels and the POTB Mechanical Forces are going to use th trucks from one of the "parts" BN units to fix her, but she needs turned on the wye in Hillsboro before this can happen. I hope I can be railfanning the day they do it!

Description:  On May 9, 2005 we ran a "Wide Load Special" from Union Bridge to Highfield, which can be seen on the rear end of the train. The wide loads are portions of the old kiln at Lehigh Cement's Union Bridge plant. One of the few active WM signals anywhere (we have two at this location) can be seen in the background.

Description:  While on CSX, the Ashland's train is CSX symbol Z635 (followed by the date, as with ALL CSX symbols) and has to make a reverse move to go from the Westbound Receiving Yard over to their own track. As you can see in the background, the Z635 has a "Restricting" signal for his crossover/backup move. Little did I know that, these units, were built for one of my favorite railroad, the Monongahela Railway. On the MGA the ASRY 2023 was the MGA 2003 and the ASRY 2024 was the MGA 2004. It's really spiffy knowing that these units are still around, as, when they were built, they were the heaviest GP38s built.
